Build Permanent Wealth
One day at a time.
While visiting my mother-in-law at the nursing home recently, we decided to rummage through the cabinets in search of a board game or puzzle to pass the time with her. Maybe a puzzle…
Shortly after the pandemic hit, our family made the same decision thousands of other Americans made: We bought a puppy! With six kids in our household and a calendar that was wiped clean, our new Boston Terrier, Rosie, enjoyed several months of snuggles, walks at the park, and fetch. She had our undivided attention.
Jesus wants us to be free. He wants us to be free from sin. Free from grudges, free from guilt. Maybe this is why He talked a lot about loans and indebtedness. He knows that debt holds us back. It is a weight around our necks. It keeps us in jobs we hate and makes it harder for us to make good long-term decisions.
One of our favorite summer traditions is heading out to Gloucester, VA to visit Uncle Todd and Aunt Cynthia’s house on the Ware River. We call it “Camp-O-Rama” and our time is spent backyard camping, swimming, and paddling. But the best tradition of all is hanging off their long dock to catch crabs!
